Anthony F. Kokx, M.D.
Anthony F. Kokx, M.D. is a board certified surgeon who is trained in performing many surgical and medical procedures of the eye. Dr. Kokx has had extensive experience over the past 8 years in practice.
Dr. Kokx was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University for both his undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Kokx traveled to West Virginia University to complete his residency in ophthalmology where he was exposed to a high level of complex medical and surgical management.
After completing residency, Dr. Kokx practiced privately in North Carolina for 2 years before moving to Denver in 2014 to practice with a large HMO group where he was head of the eye department. He will join Associates in Eyecare in March of 2021.
Dr. Kokx's practice focuses on cutting edge cataract surgery, including toric and multifocal lens placement, complex cataract surgery, iris reconstruction, and refractive surgery (LASIK & PRK). He treats a wide range of medical conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and blepharitis. Dr. Kokx is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He enjoys spending time in the mountains with his wife Jackie and his two boys Ben and Sam. He enjoys landscape and night photography as well as hiking and skiing. He works with the Colorado Coalition for Homelessness to help provide eye care to our community's most vulnerable population.
